学期が始まった ・ The Semester has started

兵庫県立大学の後期、エバグリーン大学の秋の学期が月曜日に始まった。今の気持ちは６か月前の気持ちと全然違う。すでに日本の大学に慣れているし、これから、どうするかは分かっているので、全然不安なく前に進める感じがする。

これから、日本語と英語教育の勉強に集中する。なので、異文化コミュニケーションとゼミの授業を取らないと思う。いろいろな英語の本を読まないといけないので、それに専念して、将来英語の先生になるために必要なことを考えながら進む。

今読んでいる本は「日本の権力構造の謎」だ。著者は日本の政治やビジネス界を細かく説明しながら、いろいろな批判をしている。かなり興味深い。できれば、この週末に読み終わって、その本について書こうと思っている。

The last semester for the year at Hyogo University, and fall quarter at Evergreen began on Monday. I feel different this semester compared to six months ago. I guess I used to the school and feel like I know what I need to do this quarter, so I can keep going without being anxious or worried about anything.

From now on, I don't think I'll be taking the intercultural communications or seminar classes I took last semester. I need to read a bunch of English books, so I'm going to focus on that and move forward while thinking about my future as an English teacher.

The book I'm reading right now is called The Enigma of Japanese Power. The author is critical of Japan's government, business world, etc. and goes into detail explaining them. It's quite interesting. If I can, I'll finish reading it this weekend and write about it.
