父の日・Father's Day

アメリカには、今日は父の日だった。家族と一緒に新しいスタートレックの映画を見に行った。まあまあ良かったけど、ＴＶ版のほうが好き。J.J. Abrams，新しい映画の監督はアクションが大好きだけど、僕はやっぱり「ザーネクストジェネレーション」のような話に中心しているスタートレックのほうが好き。

映画の後、父と母と一緒に車を見に行った。両親の車は結構古いので新しい車を買いたいって。今の車の中はボロボロしているから、僕は両親の気持ちが分かる。けど、僕は一緒に行きたくなかった。なぜかって言ったら、父は車を運転して、母は助手席側に座ったら、いつもすごいケンカになるんだ。父の運転しさは怖くて、母は父をしつこく叱れるから。

で、やっぱり買い物が好きじゃない。今日、子供の頃の僕を思い出して、その頃でさえ、出かけるのは好きじゃなかった。今日のケンカと買い物の状況はその頃も同じだったんだ。

内向きな僕は静かか、落ち着いてくれる音楽の方はいいと思う。だから、ＴＶ版のスタートレックのほうが好きなのかな？　笑

Today it was Father's Day. I went to go see the new Star Trek movie with my family. It was okay, but I prefer the TV version. J.J. Abrams, the director of the movie, likes action, but I like the ones like "The Next Generation" that focused more on the story.

After the movie, I went to go look at cars with my parents. Their car is pretty old, so they said they want to buy a new one. Their current car is falling apart, so I understand how they feel. However, I didn't want to go with them. If I were to say why, it's because when my dad drives and my mom is in the passenger side seat, they always fight. My dad's driving is scary, so my mom just can't stop yelling at him about it.

And I just don't like shopping. I recalled when I was a kid that, even then, I didn't like going out. The situation with the fighting and shopping was pretty much the same as it was today.

For an introverted person like me, I prefer quiet or relaxing music. That may be why I prefer the TV version of Star Trek (^_^)
